UM beat Duke!!!

After over 40years, Miami beat Duke last night. It was an amazing game. Sydney slept through that second half, but woke up to see the celebration. Check out the link for article and highlights from ESPN. Go CANES!!!

Learning to walk

Sydney in the last 2 weeks is just learning to walk. She can take a few steps, and the fall down, and so on. Here's a video that captures it...enjoy.

Lots of Visitors and LOTS of pictures

Over the last two weeks we've had lots of visitors, the reason there haven't been any postings. So get ready to get caught up....there are LOTS of pictures. First Mike's mom came to visit. She went w/ us to music class, Sydney loves playing w/ the sticks.

Then we went to a birthday party for Elmo at a local bookstore. As you can tell from the picture, Sydney is not quite sure about Elmo and Grover.

The weather was beautiful, so we went to the park. Sydney is so proud of herselft and her climbing skills, climbing up the jungle gym.

After all that hard playing a nap was in order. Sydney loves when Mike gets her up from her nap.

Then this week, Mike's brother Mark and his girlfriend Brandi came to visit. One of her few chill moments, Sydney is chillin w/ Mark.

Parrot Jungle

Yesterday Sydney and I went to Parrot Jungle with our friends Marnie and Jillian. Sydney really liked the parrots, especially the red ones. She also liked the Squirel Monkeys. We went into this enclosure where the monkeys are running around you and the parrots are flying around. It was really cool! Here are some pictures from our outting.

NC trip

Last weekend we made our first trip in 6months. We went to North Carolina to see our friends Luke, Emily and their kids Gigi and Caroline. We also went to the Duke game. I was a little worried about travelling both because last time we flew with Sydney she was only 4months old and not nearly as swirmy as she is now, and because Sydney and I were flying out there alone. She was a champ! She didn't sleep, like I was hoping but she was a great traveller.

Here she is on the flight there. This was shot during the only 15min of the 2hr flight that she spent in the car seat.

Here is Sydney and Caroline playing. Can you tell she's teething?!?! Drool Queen!! I've realized that I don't have any pictures with Gigi, she was napping longer than Caroline. As soon as I get some from Emily I'll post them too.

Now trying it out herself.Sydney has learned to give kisses. Back at the hotel Sydney is enjoying giving herself kisses in the full length mirror.
