Fun weekend

We had a great weekend w/ Mike having a few days off. We went to the park and as always Sydney had tons of fun on the swings.

Then Sydney had her friend Jillian over to play. We're working on sharing, but we still need some work. Sydney would crawl over to Jill and take whatever toy that she was playing with. In this picture Sydney had just taken the toy phone from Jill.

A day in the life of Sydney

I thought I'd let you all in on a typical day w/ Sydney.

First we wake up and after breakfast it's time to do some reading.

Then after the morning nap it's time to play w/ Shaq's toys, and get a good feel of his toy basket. She also loves playing in his water bowl, but I haven't gotten a picture of it yet.

Then it's off into the bathroom where she's not supposed to go. Can you tell she knows what she's up to?!?!

Now to crawling under the coffee table in order to get to the blinds.

Bath time.

Off to bed and hopefully we won't see her until morning.

Sydney's first Hanukkah

Sydney is enjoying her first Hanukkah. She opened her first present the night before when Lynn and Steve were still here and since Mike was out of town the first night. Shaq seemed just as intersted as Sydney in the gifts.

She's getting frustrated that she can't get it open.

Welcome to Sydney's house

Sydney has a new house...welcome home. ; )

Sydney had some firsts this weekend. She has learned how to clap, wave and dance. All are too cute, and I still need to get pictures of all of them. She actually clapped at Mike's game on Saturday....Go Canes!!! Finally, she had her first taste of ice cream...yum!! She was really sucking on that cone!!!

Sorry it's been so long since the last post. Mike is down in Puerto Rico for a tournament and I haven't been feeling so great. Sydney has been great though. Making it easy for me to be home alone for so long. Sydney went to her first basketball games last week. She did great. She was so fascinated by the cheerleaders and all the people. She had fun crawling around the office after the games. She was so tired afterwards!!!

Lynn and Steve were just here visiting. It has been great for Sydney to get to know so much family. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Also wanted to share how she's standing up. Pulling herself up on her highchair is her favorite, but she's doing it everywhere!!! She'll pull herself up and then look around to make sure that everyone saw. ; )

It's crazy that next week is Thanksgiving. I'm sure we'll have some pictures from the festivities at Coach's house.

trip to the park

The weather has finally gotten nice here in Miami. The humidity gone down and it's cool enough to do stuff outside during the middle of the day. It is just too nice to stay inside so Sydney and I decided to go to the park today. This is her first time to a park. She had alot of fun. It's also a great excuse to take pictures w/ the new camera. ; )

Lucky girl

Sydney is such a lucky girl. She's able to have so much family come to visit. Last weekend Dad, Cheryl, Kevin and Claire all came down to visit from Illinois. It was great for Sydney to get such good time with them. During their time here, Sydney also had her first trip to the beach. She wasn't a huge fan of the water, but liked playing in the sand.

This week we have visits from Mike's uncle Dave during the week. Then Lynn and Steve are coming to spend a long weekend. Like I said, Sydney's a lucky girl!
